Crystal Grid for Love & Harmony in the Home
People often take for granted the space and environment they surround themselves with each and every day, when in fact the energy in your environment and the potential effect it has in your space can have an impact on the entire family. The art of Fung Shui speaks to this in detail and while I’m no expert, the little changes I’ve made in the home have most definitely been felt in the way the energy moves in the space and how it’s felt by all of us that call this our safe haven and place of respite.
An easy and accessible way to harness and bring the energy of love and harmony into the home is with a crystal grid.
Crystal grids are beautiful, fun to make, and can get your creative juices flowing. I have several in my house, but designing one that brings in Love and Harmony for the entire family was the first I put together and still remains in my family room. Here’s what you’ll need (note that if you feel another crystal calls to you more than the ones I’ve listed, go with your intuition and use those):
4 x rose quartz stones (tied to gentleness, soothing energy and love)
4 x emerald (enhances unconditional love, unity and domestic bliss)
1 x selenite sphere (a stone of purification and light will help amplify and purify the energy)
1 x clear quartz point
To begin, write your intention with regards to the energy you want to bring into the home on a piece of paper. Intentions should be phrased positively and in the present tense, e.g. “Our home is our sanctuary filled with love, peace and harmony”. Fold it up and put it at the centre of your board. You can use crystal grid boards available online, or I like using a wooden or cork board that you can get anywhere or may even have readily available in your home. There’s something grounding about the wood or cork material that I like to use to place the crystals on.
Once your intention is set and placed in the centre of the board, follow these steps:
Stand facing an Easterly direction and lay the selenite sphere on top.
Next, place 1 rose quartz stone above the selenite sphere (this would be in the position of East)
Moving clockwise, place the next rose quartz stone to the South of the sphere, the next to the West and finally the last in the Northern position
Now moving onto the emerald stones follow a similar pattern placing them in between the rose quartz you’ve just laid down. The first emerald stone will therefore be placed in the South-East position, the second in the South-West position, next the North-West position and finally the last emerald stone will be place in the North-East position.
Once all your stones are laid down, it’s time to charge the grid using the clear quartz point. Begin in the centre above the selenite sphere and move upward to the rose quartz you first laid down in the East position, connecting the selenite to the rose quartz stone.
Moving clockwise connect the crystals together moving out from the centre stone/selenite out to the outer stone, over to the stone beside it and then back to the selenite centre stone.
Move the point back out to the crystal you just connected back to the selenite/centre stoner before moving across to the stone in the next clockwise position.
I’ve included a visual below so that you can see how it all comes together. Again, use your intuition when choosing the stones. Working with the energy of love, patience, softness and activating the heart chakra through the use of these stones and this powerful grid will sure to bring unconditional love, peace and harmony into the hearts of the entire family.
