Meditation 101
It is now widely known the vast array of benefits that the practice of meditation has to offer (and if you don’t you can click here to read more into it).
If you’re wanting to start a meditation practice, but are not sure how, we’ve created an infographic with four simple steps to get you off to the races! Trust that meditation is accessible to you and doesn’t have to be an hour-long ordeal where you need to be absolutely still without any thoughts. I’m pretty sure this is impossible for most people, so do not put that level of pressure on yourself, whatever you do!
My best tips for those just starting out:
Begin with a short timeframe (5 to 10 minutes)
Use guided meditations to give your mind something to follow/focus on. There are several free apps now available that offer wonderful guided meditations for whatever you’re looking to focus on
If you’re time-starved, try a “beditation”…that’s when you do your meditation first thing in the morning while you’re still in bed. It’s a lovely way to wake up and easy to incorporate in your routine
